Albia Iowa Area Sightseeing

Albia offers the sightseeing a great deal in the way of scenic and photographic splendor, so if you're coming our way, don't arrive without your camera.

Albia Wildlife The wildlife are plentiful nearly all year round and the late summer and autumn will offer some beautiful scenery in many of the local parks and recreational areas.

Honey Creek State Park on Rathbun Lake, spreads over 828 acres, offering you opportunities for camping, hiking trails, boating, fishing, or just a quiet picnic with our picnic facilities.

Iconium, Moravia is a nearby community.

Covering more than 366 acres, Lake Keomah State Park also brings great outdoor recreational opportunities with their camping, hiking trails, swimming, fishing, (bass bit best in the fall) boating, lodges, picnic facilities. This park isn't too far from the small cities of Oskaloosa, Pella, and Sigourney.

Lake Wapello, a state park in Iowa, is among the largest state parks,and is spread across 1,150 acres, all of which are scenic wonders. There is a great deal to do here, with camping, cabins, trails, boating, swimming, fishing, picnic facilities.

If by chance you've forgotten your sunscreen, you can pick up a bit more in the towns of Bloomfield, Ottumwa,or Unionville, which aren't far away.
